On 14-3-2013 as per GOI, MHA Order No. 11011/14/2013-IS-IV Dt.13-3-2013, NIA took over the investigation of FIR No. 56/2013 u/s 302, 307, 120-B IPC 3 & 5 of Explosive Substance Act of PS Malakpet, Hyderabad and FIR No. 146/2013 u/s 324, 326, 307, 302, 124-A, 153-A, 201 r/w 120-B IPC Sec. 3 & 5 of Explosive Substance Act and Sec. 16, 17 and 18 of UA(P) Act 1967 of PS Saroornagar, Cyberabad. The cases were re-registered as (1) RC.No. 01/2013/NIA/HYD u/s 302, 207, 120-B IPC; Sec. 3 & 5 of Explosive Substances Act and Sections 16, 18 and 20 of UA (P) Act 1967 and (2) RC.No. 02/2013/NIA/HYD u/s 302, 307, 120-B; Sections 3 & 5 of Explosive Substances Act 1908 and Sec. 16, 18 & 20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967.

Summary of Allegations

On 21-02-2013 at 18:58:38 hrs and 18:58:44 hrs two bomb blasts took place at Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, resulting in the death of 18 persons, and causing injuries to 131 persons. The first blast took place at a bus stop in Dilsukhnagar and the second near A1 Mirchi Centre, Dilsukhnagar.
